At Broken P Farm we like to keep things simple. That means our cattle live most of their lives in open pastures with limited inputs. Supplements contain no animal byproducts. No hormones are ever used. We provide clean water, plenty of nutrition, and then let nature do the rest. Animals that go on to meat production are finished on corn to provide that great flavor people love.
What does sustainability in farming mean? We have sat through many meetings over the last couple of years trying to figure it out. This is where our concept of “Believable Sustainability” comes from. It is a notion that seeks balance in all aspects of our farm. Take any one component away and the farm becomes unsustainable. By learning from the concepts of regenerative agriculture, showing respect for the animals we raise, and spending our resources wisely, we are becoming more sustainable every year.
